OK this is totally ridiculous but perhaps somebody can help me. I downloaded & unzipped wordpress. Made the necessary changes within the .php file. Set up My SQL Database – now heading over to my ftp I’m trying to upload the files. Do i seriously have to upload each and every file individually??? Is there no easier way??? For the record I’m using a Mac Book Pro with Aplus web hosting. Anyone willing to help me??

    Thanks,

    Irving

  • What are you using for a FTP client? I use Filezilla and I connect to my host, select all files/folders and upload to my web root.

Try using Cyberduck instead, I’ve found that it’s significantly more stable than FileZilla on a Mac.

You don’t need to upload each file individually, just select all of them and drag, much in the same way you would bulk-select and drag files to a folder or disk.

Thanks, but i finally managed to get it uploaded. I did end up using Filezilla. Running into some other issues now but I’ve got some reading to do first to see if i can figure it out on my own.
