I am trying to upload a theme in .zip format from the elegant themes site. The file has been downloaded from elegant themes to my desktop. I've tried the upload numerous times and I keep getting the message: "do you really want to do this; please try again". Has anyone else encountered this? How do I find a resolution so that I can upload this theme?

What if another user created the word press site on their pc and I'm just using it? Where would the theme files be on my pc?

depends if using wamp or xampp
look in wamp or xampp folder for htdocs folder - wordpress should be in there
    then /wp-content/themes

Hi, am trying to upload theme from skinpress, (free wordpress themes), and I have it uploaded to a file on my pc. I followed instruction in the dashboard in my wordpress and hit "preview". It previewed great but now will not upload into my wordpress blog. Says it's already there, but the default is there. I'm not too technically minded. please help.

Here is the msg I get when trying the instalation

Installing Theme from uploaded file: BlueGrey.zip

    Unpacking the package.

    Installing the theme.

    Destination folder already exists. /home8/heidisan/public_html/wp-content/themes/BlueGrey/

    Theme Install Failed.

delete the /BlueGrey folder (via ftp client or your host's file manager) and try it again - likely just a server glitch

if that doesn't work - unzip the file and upload it manually to /wp-content/themes with an ftp client or your host's file manager
