uploading new theme

    I downloaded wordpress 2.6.2 and when I finally got it working it says that I am using 1.6. What do I need to do to upgrade since I already
    installed the 2.6.2 files?

    Also I downloaded a theme. I tried putting all the files into my ftp which caused an error message. Which files do I need to put into the ftp? Is it the whole folder or just the content? Do I get rid of any of the existing files?

    Where does it say you’re using 1.6? If you uploaded 2.6.2 files you CAN’T have installed 1.6. I don’t think there even IS a 1.6.

    What do you mean you put the files “into” your FTP? You UPLOAD using FTP but you can’t put anything “into” it. You would upload themes to wp-content/themes and make sure you don’t nest the folders.
