• I’m sure this has been addressed before but I can’t find it. I’m trying to upload multiple photos to my blog, but the web-based WP utility only allows me to upload one at a time. Very very slow. I tried using ecto, but so far I’ve only been able to get it to upload text. It leaves named placeholders for the photos. I found an iPhoto plugin called WordPress Export which hangs and otherwise does not work.
I’m running on a Mac, so I imagine this limits the clients I can use.
    What do you folks do?

  • I use a Mac and I use an FTP client to upload my photos. I export the size of photo I want from iPhoto to my desktop and then use Transmit (http://www.panic.com/transmit/) to upload to my WordPress folder. I used to use Cyberduck (http://cyberduck.ch/) which is opensource and free.

The hitch for me is once I get them ftp’d to my WordPress folder (in this case the Uploads folder) WP doesn’t find them to insert into posts. How do I make that last little connection?

I would like the same. No problem uploading some pictures, but WP cant “see” them. Any way to fix that?

My solution is a bit of a workaround, but it’s working at any rate. I got a Flikr photo account, and I downloaded the Flok browser which has a blogging module. Flok allows me to batch upload to my Flikr account (and even gives me options for re-sizing photos as I go), and then I can drag and drop from Flikr to the blogs I write. Not perfectly integrated, and the photos don’t end up living on the server where the rest of the blog is, but it seems to work pretty seamlessly, and it’s free.
It would still be nice to know how to get WP to see photos that it personally didn’t upload.
It would also be good to get suggestions from other members out there about photo uploading plugins that they like.
