I tried uploading an image in a sample post on my site, but after I clicked upload, it gave me this code (on the write post page):

Warning: imageantialias(): supplied argument is not a
    valid Image resource in /home/dcsfootb/public_html/wp-admin/includes/image.php
    on line 44

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers
already sent by (output started at /home/dcsfootb/public_html/wp-admin/includes/image.php:44)
    in /home/dcsfootb/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on
    line 390

Any ideas as to what's the problem?

umm are you sure that the wordpress files are uploaded completely correctly?

Yes, everything is uploaded and in place to my knowledge. I thought the first error stated that my picture (.gif) wasn't a valid image file, and the second error is something to do with the header (no idea).

I installed the EasyGals plugin, if that would make a difference. I wanted something that would automatically resize larger images to a thumbnail (which would link to the full image).

i can suggest an alternative... you can use yahoo flickr free account if something is wrong with your server settings...

also try uploading some other image files...
