Uploading images from computer

    Hi all,

    My website (http://whitleygolf.co.uk/) is starting to grow at a rapid rate and I am trying to meet demand by writing several articles a week.

    But, for some reason, my software will not allow me to upload an image from my computer – the link just does not work. I’ve tried it in all the browsers and it still doesn’t work.

    Using another site for my images does work, though, but my other blog (on which I upload images) has run out of bandwidth for this month and I cannot therefore use it.

    I also want to upgrade to the latest WP version, but my theme is customised by a developer and I am worried upgrading will change this.

    As I have no experience with any coding at all in the world of web design, I don’t want to go into it and spoil the site.

    I would greatly appreciate it if anybody could give me some advice on what to do.

    Bumping posts is:

    a) Against the forum rules
    b) has the opposite effect because others think a query has been answered.

    If you have run out of hosting space on your blog, you need to speak to your hosting provider about increasing your space (at the appropriate cost). WordPress cannot override limits set by your provider.

    Sorry, but that’s not the question I asked.
    My problem is with the WP uploader (which just doesn’t do anything when I click it), not the other site.

    Hi whitleygolf, I’m experiencing the same problem with the image upload button not working…

    I’m running WordPress 2.5.1. From within a page or post, when I click on Add Media:Add an Image, then I click on the ‘Choose files to upload’ button nothing happens.

    I’ve tried this from IE 8 and FireFox 3.6.3. It works on a colleague’s PC from IE 8. So, presumably it’s not a WordPress installation issue, but rather a browser configuration issue?

    Did you ever find out how to solve this. Or has anyone got an answer please!
