   I uploaded my database and all my files from a MAMP/localhost installation.. the problem right now is that it can't establish a connection.. when I go there it says
   Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at http://www.mydomain.com:8888.

   Now I know when I was running MAMP I was on port 8888, but I have no idea where that was set and how to unset it...

   answer my own question.. just had to go into phpmyadmin and edit the values of the localhost, but now any site other than the index.php is saying it isn't found... that's curious.
