   I desperatly need some help. I have been trying to upload .flv files so I can insert them into my Blog. Everytime I do this I get a message that says 'did not meet security guidelines try another'.

   Can anyone please help and give a clue! (take it gently though I am not an experienced user)

   This is because the flv mime-type is not in the list of allowed mime-types in a standard WordPress install.

   You can extend this list using my WordPress mime-config plugin which can be downloaded here: http://blog.ftwr.co.uk/archives/2006/04/22/managing-mime-types-for-the-inline-uploader/
