   Hi there,

   this has probably been asked a few times but i couldnt find it. Also on the codex i wasnt able to locate a page about it.

   I'm wondering what files exactly are allowed and disallowed in the build-in file uploader.

   It seems to me a very small list is allowed. Maybe for future versions there should be an option to turn this restrictions off?

   Anyway, if anyone could provide me with a link to a list of allowed extensions that would be great.

   I, too, would like to know where I can find the list of default file types/mime types that I can upload to my WordPress site. I tried to upload a WAV file and although I did not get an unsupported error (it was more of a server is busy kind of error), I have not been able to upload the file.

   I am interested in the default list, not the list or plug-in tha allows me to ADD specific types to the list.
