Uploading and extracting zip automatically

    Is there a plugin that will do this: I need to if I upload a zip, it’ll extract it automatically. Basically if I upload a website design in zip form, I want to upload the zip, select the thumbnail, and then when I upload it, it automatically extracts it and allows you to view a html (non-wordpress) version and download the zip. Is this possible?

    I have a php/mysql script that is similar, but wouldn’t know the first thing about trying to incorporate it into a wordpress plugin.

    sounds like a security problem
    you normally don’t want to allow zips to auto unzip that way although that is the way auto update works..

    I would read up on it before you attempt something and make sure you secure it

    So now servers do not compress and uncompress on the fly? What year did that start? Sorry to be blunt @jumboclicks, but your reply is factually incorrect. Any good host can accept a compressed file and decompress in nano’s…

    That said, I am quite unsure what the OP is trying to achieve…In any event, how a server does or does not perform a basic process is not a WP Troubleshooting Forum issue. Such is to be discussed with host.
