I have a huge dir of images which I would love to use the "browse all" feature in the "attachment upload" section. I used ftp to upload the image dir but of course I cannot browse them using "browse all".
I am assuming that this is because the upload feature puts each upload in the database, not just in the upload folder.
Am I right?
Does anyone know of a workaround or plugin so I can "browse all" and insert these images in page?
My favorite plugin for this sort of thing is Organizer. It does not rely on the WordPress database, so you can browse everything in the folder. Very handy.

I use Organizer on my personal site but I was hoping to do something "in page" for this client.
Ah, I see what you're talking about. I use Xinha for WordPress as my WYSIWYG editor, and it's photo insert tool allows me to browse all of the subfolders of the uploads directory and just point and click.
