Uploaded plugins not appearing in my wp-admin

    Hi,

    I have downloaded 2 plugins: All In One SEO pack and Google Site Generator 3.2.3. I uploaded them to my public_html folder using Filezilla. They are showing in hostgator in my blog file but when I go to configure them I see that they are not in my wp-admin. At the same time I uploaded a new theme which does show up. Any ideas re what I’ve done wrong?

    Plugins need to be installed either by choosing “Add New” in the Plugins section of the admin panel or they need to be uploaded to /wp-content/plugins/

    Themes need to be installed either by choosing “Add New” in the Appearance section of the admin panel or they need to be uploaded to /wp-content/themes/

    Thanks – it worked via the add new button on word press but not via uploading with ftp client (don’t know why) – any way it’s done, so thanks.

    Hi how about images? I have uploaded via FTP (2.4 mb in size and less)files that went to a folder inside of wp-content…..wp-content/uploads/2010/07.
    The folder that has the files that I uploaded using the default wordpress admin file upload created that 2010/07 folder so I just pasted additional files into the same folder and it loaded and is showing on hostgator but not on my media tab inside WP admin….what do you thins whats up?

    Hi,

    When plugins automatically disabled and disappeared from plugin section, then check if servers php.ini file ( /usr/local/lib/php.ini ) having fopen eanbled or not? if its disabled then enable it and restart the apache.

    You done it.
