    uploaded to public_html/wp-content/uploads/Freedom1clickaway.txt

An image shouldn't have a .txt file extension. It would most likely either be a .gif or .jpg. So, the upload file path should look something like this:

    http://www.yourblogurl.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/imagename.jpg

If you're wanting the image to show up in a blog post, use the blog post text editor to select the image, which can be selected directly off your computer and loaded into your blog. Hope that helps to answer what you need.

Thanks Inspired2Write, I'm sure uploading an image would have been my next? The document I'm trying to upload is not an image it is a page that I want to show as to why I'm doing this blog.

I did it on notepad in the hopes that there would be no errors uploading.

The document I'm trying to upload is not an image it is a page that I want to show as to why I'm doing this blog.

If it's only a text document, and if you don't want the content as a blog post, then why not do it as a 'page'? If it's information as to why you're doing the blog, it sounds like content for an 'About' page. You access 'Pages' to create them from the left menu in your admin panel.

Why not just paste the text in? - there two options in the editor - Paste Plain Text and Paste from Word - If you just paste straight into a Post or Page there can be some formatting issues.

I paste in Plain Text much of the time after I make a document with my Word Processor and can fix the spelling and such. I then need to do some formatting to get things to look like I want - but not spilling Errors!

Ok I see what your saying, I can go to wp-admin and create a page and either paste info there or if it was a blog post I would still go to wp-admin and paste there as a draft. Does this sound right?

? When I use FTP and upload to wp-content does it go to wp-admin or where because I have uploaded this page several times and FTP
says it transferred sucessfully. So that leaves me wondering where it went?

Will try the page and will paste info that way. Will see how that works.
This Newbie thanks you very much.

    Yes you got it.

FTP - the default is to WordPress Files on your site >> wp-content >> uploads >> then files are usually arranged by year and month.

With a bit of looking around on your site you should be able to find the files you uploaded and clean them up.

    good luck
