I have just upgraded to 3.7.1 and I just tried to upload a .pdf file. It appears in my library and on screen as a contact form with the .pdf as an attachment. I have deleted all contact forms from my site as well as deleting them as plugins. Any ideas?

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Thirteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

Sorry, I was in a bit of a rush when I did the last post. In the media library it looks as if it is an attachment to a comment form but I did attach it to the page where I wanted it today and it does appear as it should. I guess I should have specified as well that I am using the Responsive theme v.1.9.4

It appears it just looks weird in the libarary.

You must have uploaded the pdf whilst you were editing the contact Page/Post. WordPress will create the attachment link automatically if you upload whilst editing. If that doesn’t suit your needs, exit any edit interface and try uploading files via Media -> Add New.
