Upload to higher directory

    I am currently trying to change the upload directory and I have been successful, but I would like the directory to reside a few levels up. Currently I have WordPress files in a WordPress directory like so wordpress/wp-content/uploads instead of the standard without the initial wordpress directory . I would like to bring uploads to the same level as my wordpress folder. Is there a way to do this?
