upload theme through dashboard (14 posts)

It is mentioned everywhere to just click on the "upload theme" button in the Themes section of the dashboard.

Seems that the latest version has removed this option and possibly hidden it somewhere secret.

can anyone create a treasure map to help find it's hidden location?

The option should be in Apperance->Themes->Install Themes. There, under the "Install themes" tab. You should see four links: Search | Upload | Featured | Newest | Recently Updated.

That's strange. I'm running 3.2.1 -the current version-, and the link is right there. Which version are you running?

in the manage themes area are:
    current theme
    available themes

there is a search field for themes and a feature filter.

    that's it.

That's peculiar. Let's try a workaround. On the adming bar you see when navigating your blog, you see the "add new" button? Click it and see if you find the "Theme" option.

good idea but same results. i know this should be there. i know i can use an FTP as well, but it's not my site. i'll pretend it's not the 21st century and email the files so someone else can upload them through their FTP.

maybe my version is really 3.2.close_to_1.

The problem could be your user level, if you're not an admin.

Well, then I really don't know. I suspect a plugin maybe causing some mishap? Can you give me a link to your site?
