first I need to find out what version I am running.. second. it says where I choose my tempate, that I can upload to the site.. thats great, but it doesnt say where and how to upload the file. it says that it would show up on the same page as the other templates. can someone give me some kind of guidance? someone replied to a similar post, but that was more about coding stuff.. I have no idea how to do that stuff yet..
    thank you

Your version number is in the bottom of every page in your dashboard. It also tells you where you need to upload your theme files as well wp-content/themes. Have a look at this for more information on how to use themes.

When you log into wordpress you are taken to your admin area. The very first page you typically see will be your dashboard.

Scroll to the bottom of the page, just like Jeremy said, and you will see your version.

And again. uploading themes is explained here:

Question. Accesing the css code of the themes has a cost. Does this apply too when I upload a theme this way? Do I have to pay a fee so I can access the css code of the theme I just uploaded?
    Thanks for your attention

No it does not have a cost - if you have your own WP installed on your own server/host.

If you have a wordpress.COM blog - you are in the wrong forum. Thos is wordpress.ORG.
