   So I have been banging my head against a wall to try and be able to upload a 460 MB video file through the WP add media page.. When I go to the page, I see "Maximum upload file size: 244MB".. I edited the php.ini to say 500 MB, but no matter what I put, 244 is the limit. I changed to 245M it still says 244 maximum. I changed to 243M and it did change to read "Maximum upload file size: 243MB". So apparently, wordpress has a max of 244? Is there any way around this?

   The maximum file size could be also set by your host. 460MB is pretty big. Why not upload your video to Youtube instead?
