When I press the upload image button on a new post, the only way I can get it to open is if I right click it and say 'open in new tab'. Then once I open it and try to upload a file or link it to a URL it doesn't do anything at all. Also - on the main page when I try to edit the raw HTML it won't let me open that link.
Any ideas?

P.S. I just went through ALL the steps in the sticky comment at the top of this forum -- no luck so far. Anyone?
Is your browser configured to block all popups? Do you have javascript enabled? Have you tried using another browser or another machine?

I tried one other machine, same problem. Pop-up blocker is disabled. javascript is enabled.
Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
- re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?
- increasing your available memory?

Ok - just did all that. Still nothing. The only thing I can think of is that I'm working on an older version of firefox and safari (firefox 3.0.14) -- would that affect it? I can't update it because it's my work computer and I need IT to do that for me...
If you have Google Gears installed, deactivate/delete this add-on. It's not compatible with Firefox 3 and can cause problems in WordPress.
