Hello everyone,
I've installed WP at GoDaddy and everything looks fine except that I cannot upload images. Every time I try, I get:
"The uploaded file could not be moved to D:\Hosting\5536451\html/wp-content/uploads"
In looking in the database, the only place I could even see this string was in the wp_options table in the recently_edited field.
Help!
Lee
look in your wordpress admin
Settings - Miscellanious
your uploads folder is defined here - be sure it is correct
usually a file "cannot be moved" error is due to permissions on the folder

OK, I've started and restarted writing this reply about 10 times. Each time I explained what I'd done and then realized there was something else I could try.
The solution was - A: yes I had to get into GoDaddy's Windows File Mangaer and give Write access to the correct folders
and B: the Path could not have a forward or backward slash at the beginning.
Thanks for your help and being a "Cardboard cuttout programmer" for me to knock ideas against (using this reply) until I figured it out!
