upload image directly from my computer

    How can I do that when I am writing a post? I browsed thru the manual and the forums and the only way seems to upload first my pics to a folder on my server and then upload it, copy the the tag and insert it in a post… This is not very simple… Is there a simplier way? Thank you for your patience.. I am new, and coming from movable type, and much more happy with wordpress !!!

    Go to Options > Miscellaneous. There’s a checkbox “Allow File Uploads”, check it (if there isn’t a mark there) and an Upload link should appear in the top menu (where Write, Manage, etc. are).

    If that is what you are currently doing, using the Upload that is (I’m not sure from your explanation…), that is as simple as it gets, I think 😀 I’m sure someone can recommend a plugin.

    Thank you, I do that already, but I find it rather “heavy” to pass thru all the steps before writing a post with an image.

    <I just found photopress and it is almost what I was looking for,… Now I can directly from a post upload an image located on my mac and write the post…;
