[resolved] Upload files not working (3 posts)

    I've tried digging around and finding the root cause for this but I'm still hitting a brick wall. Right now when I attempt to upload anything big small picture, pdf doesn't matter it doesn't work.

    I get the following error:

    “untitled.JPG” has failed to upload due to an error
    The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.

    Now I've checked my php.ini it has the following lines:

    upload_max_filesize = 64M
    post_max_size = 64M

    Looking at the upload form it does confirm it's getting this setting:

    Maximum upload file size: 64MB.

    So I'm a bit at a lost. Right now the uploads directory has permissions of 755 and I've tried 777 with no change.

    Any assistance would be great.

    For the fun of it here is my .htaccess file in the root of the WordPress folder.

    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /wordpress/
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
    </IfModule>
    # END WordPress

    I've resolved this. Root cause was not RTFM.

    PHP version 5.2.4 or greater

    And I had 5.2.17. Now with 5.3.3 installed all is well. Sorry for the stupid.
