Hi all, How do I put a file into the base directory for a domain. I'm trying to do this for my Ebay partner network confirmation in the form of a txt file.

    Thanks,

    Steve.

FTP, or via the File manager of your servers control panel.

Use Filezilla to gain access to the server, then you can drag files from the left pane (the PC), to the right (server).

You'll need FTP credentials from the server if 1st time using FTP on that site/server.

Steve I also need to know what is, where is and how is the "base directory" labled in the file list that appears in Filezilla.

Someone please let us know. For me this about monetizing my blog. I would really like to make some money.
    Thanks

    Marc

The base, or root directory of your domain. Your public_html directory. The directory where your host has you place the web accessible content for your domain. Probably the same directory where you will find your wp-config.php file.
