hi i made my own header for my site but when i try to upload it i keep getting this ( Upload Error: Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.)
but i dont under stand why? please help.

  2. I've seen this when I tried to upload an image with a question mark in the filename (works on Macs, not valid on Windows, not liked by Linux-based servers).

If you've got any non-standard characters in the file name, try changing it to something like header.jpg (or header.png, or whatever format it's in).

    Hi,
Even im facing the same problem. When ever i’m trying to upload a .jpg image, i’m receiving this error “File type is not permitted for security reasons”. Anyone have a solution for this problem?

Any reply will be deeply appreciated.

I presume your header is coded if so go to your ftp or cpanel and get write permissions to header.
Or in admin theme/editor/header.php and write your code in there
Hope this is what you are looking for/Best of luck!
