Upload different file types to different directories

    After a couple hours of searching for a solution, I have not been able for the life of me find the ability to upload different file types into different directories through the WordPress post uploader.

    I run a podcasting & music site and the other authors are not too familiar with FTP etc and all I would like to do is so that when they upload an image (.jpg or .png) it goes into …/wp-content/images/11/ and when they upload a music or podcast (.mp3) it goes into …/wp-content/music/11/

    The one plugin that I tried that had a chance of doing so did not work with 3.1.2 so now I am looking for any other solution to make this work.
