I went through all the first eight steps.

    – Replaced the /wpadmin/ folder
    – Replaced the /wpcontent/themes/default/ folder
    – Replaced the files in the root directory
    – Logged in as admin

    But step nine didn’t happen:

Step 9: Login as admin into your site – you will be prompted to click on the link to upgrade your database as there have been changes to the database scheme between 2.0.4 and 2.0.5.

    It’s still 2.0.4 version.

Maybe the search bar function was not there. At least something happened.

    WHAT DID I DO WRONG?

  • What about the other WP directories? You’ll want to update them too. wp-includes, for instance?

Yes, what about the Wp-includes. I completely forgot about those… Now’s everything fine!

    I don’t know what I’m doing sometimes…

Thanks! The solution had to be there. This upgrade also solved another problem.

    Thanks again!
