I use WP for several sites, and have updated them all to 3.1.3. One of these sites still has the alert "WordPress 3.1.3 is available - upgrade now". This alert has been present for earlier releases as well. On the dashboard it clearly says that I'm using 3.1.3.
How do I get rid of this message and get it working properly?
Try:
- switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
- re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.
- re-running the upgrade manually using wp-admin/upgrade.php.
I renamed the theme, then reset the theme in the admin to twentyten, then did another upgrade, and the message was gone. Thanks!
