   The last 4 articles that have been pre posted and scheduled have missed posting to the blog since upgrading.

   Did something change there. It was running smoothly before that.

   What other factors could enter into "Missed Scheduled"?

   It's a known bug with some hosts and 2.9. If you want to try a solution, backup your database and files and install the WordPress Beta Tester plugin. This will let you switch to the beta easily (but NOT let you go backwards).

   Or if your backups are good, roll back your database and files to 2.8.6 and wait till 2.9.1 is officially released.
