   Hello,

   I automatically upgraded my wordpress site to 2.9, got the maintainence error page, deleted it from the root folder and now my website wont load.. just a blank white screen.

   So annoyed because this happens on every new upgrade.

   My website is http://www.visitlocal.co.uk

   Need to get it up asap, it's not a good look for my business.

   Try resetting the plugins folder by FTP and renaming your current theme's folder.

   hmm ok, do you think it'll work if i delete all the plugins instead?

   If you can live without them for the time being, yes - it would have the same effect.

   Deleted all the plugins but it's the same problem, blank!

   Aghhh this is really bad, starting to hate wordpress.

   Can you try manually uploading the 2.9 files using ftp? Everything except your wp-config.php file and the wp-content folder.
