   I did the auto update to 2.8.2 and now I just get a white screen.

   I backed up before I upgraded.

   What is the quickest path to ground?

   Try a manual upgrade instead. Upload the files to your site manually.

   If that doesn't work, you can safely go back to 2.8.1 temporarily, as 2.8.2 had no database schema changes. No need to restore the database.
