• Hi,
I just upgraded to 2.6.1 from 1.5. My database is located in a subdirectory under my website called /b2. I’m getting 404 error messages when I try to manage my site, like “The requested URL /wordpress/wp-admin/post.php was not found on this server.” I don’t have a “/wordpress” directory on my site; all my wordpress files are located in /b2. (Should I have a “wordpress” directory?) Or, when I try to activate the Atahualpa theme, I get “The requested URL /wordpress/wp-admin/js/’ + url + ‘ was not found on this server.” which doesn’t make much sense to me, since ‘ + url + ‘ doesn’t look like a valid file name.

Any help you can give on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Julie

Ok, so I’ve created another directory called “WordPress” that has all the same files that the /b2 directory has. When I try to make changes to, say, my settings, I get stuck in a login loop (that is, it asks me to log in, I log in, and I’m at the login screen again, and again, etc.). Any thoughts?

    The theme is probably incompatible.

The continual loop is normally fixed by deleteing cookies and cache in your browser.

    Hi,
I deleted cookies and cache, and still have the continual loop. I can login to my site/wp-admin and get to the dashboard, but most anything I try to do from there sends me to the login screen, where I get stuck in the loop.

I’d greatly appreciate any other thoughts. This is driving me mildly insane.
