   I upgraded and now my site does not work. I followed the instructions exactly as they appeared on the screen - everything is blank - PLEASE HELP

   It doesn't look like you have all the WordPress files.

   Please review the procedures in Upgrading WordPress. I'd delete and reupload the WordPress files as described in that article.

   Don't forget to do the upgrade.php

   did that twice - still nothing My pages are all blank, even the upgrade.php

   I may put off the upgrading for now but if I dont do it I wont be able to add some of the plugins I want

   Does it make a difference which FTP I use? I am using internet explorer.

   Do you mean FTP client? Internet Explorer is NOT an FTP client, it's a browser.

   Also, I dont see a blank page. I do however, see an un-upgraded WordPress.

   I just put my old files back up. Internet Explorer can be used as an FTP client if you set it up under "my network places".

   I wonder if the htaccess file is my problem - I dont see it anywhere to save it.

   That doesn't make it one ... but that's another subject entirely.

   well thats all i have right now and is the only thing i know how to use -

   is there a way to see htaccess in explorer?

   if it's there, its a dotted file. dotted files are hidden. so probably not.

    I know this is gonna sound simple - do I download each file or just one for Filezilla?

    Filezilla is a program you use on your machine to connect to an FTP server. So you need to download and install filezilla.
