   Hi,

   I am trying to upgrade to worpress 3.0.4 but I get the following error message each time that I try:

   Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.0.4.zip…

   Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Unable to create file E:\inetpub\esvc000630\wordpress/wp-content/wordpress-3.tmp because Permission denied in E:\inetpub\esvc000630\wordpress\wp-admin\includes\file.php on line 199

   Download failed.: Could not create Temporary file.

   Installation Failed
   ##

   Can anyone help an amateur out here, I don't have a clue what is going wrong?

   Hi

   That is an issue with how permissions are set on your server. Either do a manual update using FTP, or contact your webhost and ask them how you get the server permissions set so that error doesn't occur. Make sure you show them what the error was.
