I'm running WP2.7. I never saw any auto-upgrade link to move to 2.8 so after searching a bit, I saw that I could choose Tools->Upgrade. The problem is that when I do this, it tells me that 2.7 is the latest version and that I'm running it! Clearly something is wrong. I don't mind upgrading manually if I have to, but I'd really like to know why the auto-upgrade isn't working properly. Any clues?
Upgrade Tool tells me that 2.7 is the current version (3 posts)

Have you tried deactivating all plugins in case one of them is interfering? You'd need to deactivate them all before an upgrade, anyway.

Posted 2 years ago #Same problem here, and yes I deactivated all plug-ins, but it still says I am using the most recent version... Which isn't true.
Any suggestions?
