I read through all of the problems with the visual editors after people upgraded to 2.8
I can see my visual editor; I can type; edit; etc.
However, I cannot save or publish anything I write. I've lost two blogs already and several drafts that I was playing with.
I emptied out my cache and cookies in firefox. Gears is not enabled. Rebooted. Nothing.
I cannot post anything. I can't even save a draft.
Can anyone please help.

I have exactly the same problem. I was running 2.8 but have upgraded to 2.8.2 in a bid to solve it - to no avail :(
I thought it might be that I'd upgraded Firefox earlier (to 3.5.1) but I have the same problem in IE8.
There are no plugins activated on the site and, aside from the template (which is very basic), it's a vanilla WordPress install.
Any help greatly appreciated.
