Upgrade to 3.5.1 and now all my sites have the same title.... (9 posts)

I have just upgraded to WordPress 3.5.1 and now when I look at my multisite sites they all have the name of my network (the name of the network is development website - see picture linked here)

It does not affect the way anything works in the netowrk, but it is a touch tricky trying to figure out which site is which when I want to make changes!

Has anyone else seen this and/or managed to find a fix for it?

I have that exact same issue. At first I though it was an issue because I attempted to update, but my permissions were messed up so it couldn't overwrite the files. But if you updated no problem, then that's not the issue. I have noticed that it shows the site name of the one you are on. So for example say I navigate to site.example.com, it will show the title of 'site' instead of the network site.

If you go into one of the network sites then sure enough, all the sites are listed as the name of that site....

Just discovered that in the netowrked sites, if you go into the admin screens, the drop down of "My Sites" all list as the name of the site you are in and all link to....the site you are in!

I can still get to the admin areas via sitename.com/wp-admin so it is a minor bug....but an annoying one!

  5. Are you using W3 Total Cache?

Yes, on a couple of the networked sites - is there something I need to do to sort that out?

I had W3-total cache installed but I wasn't using it anywhere so I removed it and that fixed the issue. As crazy as it sounds.

I have now removed it and it all works, although it caused some issues with the removal so I had to go in and manually remove some files

OK, time to raise a ticket on the Total Cache page then....

    Thanks for your help

  9. I was going to say remove it totally and then reinstall it. Sometimes the upgrade to the latest version was janky for some people. I think you're one of them.
