I’ve got a problem after upgrading to 2.3.3 using FTP ( deleting (the right files) and then uploading the new ones – not the just overwriting.)

The blog is working fine: http://nothingbutgreenlights.net/
but the RSS feed which is directed to feedburner using Feed Locations plug-in ( http://feeds.feedburner.com/NothingButGreenLights ) gives the following error…

Warning: require(/home/nothing/public_html/wp-includes/compat.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nothing/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 117

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/nothing/public_html/wp-includes/compat.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/nothing/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 117

the obvious question: what happens when you call the feed without it being redirected?

the feed works when the plug-in is disabled.

So the plug-in may not be compatible – do you think this is what is causing the error ?

The answer seems fairly straightforward to me:

Warning: require(/home/nothing/public_html/wp-includes/compat.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nothing/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 117`

Is that file actually on your site? Make sure you uploaded *all* the 2.3.3 files.

Yeh the file is there. And I’ve overwritten it/ deleted it and uploaded the new file etc.

The problem seems to have been resolved. For anyone else experiencing a similar problem I suggest pinging/ resyncing with feedburner and/or waiting and seeing what happens.
