    Hey,

I'm pretty new to Word Press. I have downloaded 2.0.6 and should I now upload ALL the files to my webspace and copy over the original files.
I'm using a different theme from what's included with the original download, does this matter? Will it cause me any problems?

    Thanks

    ATFC Martin

Prior to uploading the new distro files, access your wp-admin, deactivate your plugins, reset the theme to default. Your other theme will not be overwritten when you upload the new files. Once you've uploaded the files then change your theme back and reactivate plugins.

It used to be standard practice to delete the old files and folders EXCEPT FOR wp-config.php and the wp-content folder instead of uploading new over old. I don't know if that's as problematic as it used to be.

Oh. MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR DATABASE! Redundantly....
