• Ok, so I followed the basic upgrade instructions for 2.0.2 to 2.0.3. I backed up my db, saved my themes, deactivated my plugins and prepared to overwrite my wp.

I did that, ran the upgrade.php file and it said it was done. However my admin still says I am running 2.0.2. So I come back here and do the detailed instructions, deleting the admin, includes, root files and the content-cache. I upload the wp again.

I ran the upgrade.php file and it said I was done. I go to the admin and it still says I’m running 2.0.2. Any ideas?

  • It’s difficult to say. I did yesterday two upgrades, and on one of them when I logged in to the admin panel I was shocked to see 2.0.2.
Believe it or not… I uploaded the 2.0.2 package instead of the 2.0.3 🙂

I got it! I had to backup the entire blog files, delete the entire thing from my server and then re-add them along with all my changes and plugins and hacks one by one. Ugh. Not exactly an easy upgrade for me in my opinion.

Don’t the directions mention deleting first? They should…
