Upgrade from 1.5 to 2.5 – exporting WXR files

Hi,

finally I find some time to upgrade my very old wordpress blog. However it is so old, there aren’t any technics in 1.5 to export those extended XML (WXR) files.

To make a clean upgrade I installed wordpress (2.5) in another subdomain and new folder as well. I just want to export all the compatible stuff as postings, comments (I hope), cathegories and myself as a user from 1.5 and then import it to the new installation 2.5.

Any help is well appreciated.
