Hi,
finally I find some time to upgrade my very old wordpress blog. However it is so old, there aren't any technics in 1.5 to export those extended XML (WXR) files.
To make a clean upgrade I installed wordpress (2.5) in another subdomain and new folder as well. I just want to export all the compatible stuff as postings, comments (I hope), cathegories and myself as a user from 1.5 and then import it to the new installation 2.5.
Any help is well appreciated.

Hi Andre - Sorry I can't help but I have the exact same problem. Have you found a resolution?
Blogs have been moved around even before the Export/Import feature has been invented.
The solution always is to search and read the documentation.

Actually you can directly upgrade from 1.5 to WP 2.5. I did it a few times and it works out fine for me.

So how'd you do it, GamerZ? Because I'm trying to figure out how to even start. Actually, I have to upgrade to 2.6. Can you help?
