   I went step by step and was at step 1 where I delete wp-includes and was uploading the new one, I uploaded all open files but not able to upload any folders, just the files insides to the wp-includes folder. This all gives me the following error:
   Fatal error: Cannot redeclare validate_file() (previously declared in /home/content/f/f/l/fflblog/html/wp-includes/functions.php:2245) in /home/content/f/f/l/fflblog/html/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 45

   Now I can't access my admin area, the site, nothing and I'm sorry I tried to do this "easy" upgrade myself. Is this a way to fix this or am I screwed as I have no understanding of this or the information?

   Why? Any decent FTP client can do that: uploading folders.

   The ftp client I use through my host allows me to browse and select files, but when there is a folder and I select that, it just opens the folder and then I can only upload those, it won't let me upload the whole folder

   I said: a decent FTP client, not what your host offers!

   well then you need to use a different client, or figure out if youre missing out on how that feature works, or work around it.
