    This is actually a 3.3.1 -> 3.5 upgrade question.

Ninja forms has been a great tool, but today I ran into upgrade problems. My client was on WordPress 3.3.1 and needed to upgrade to 3.5. So, we upgraded the plugins first. The Ninja Form upgrade resulted in the shortcode showing, instead of the form. The upgrade to WordPress resulted in the shortcode disappearing, but nothing showing. We have switched to Easy Contact Form in the interim, but the client really likes Ninja Forms, if we can get it going.

If you check out the upgrade changelog http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ninja-forms/changelog/ you'll find that there major changes to the Ninja Forms framework. One of which is the shortcode used to display your forms.

    [ninja_forms_display_form id=3]

Where 3 is the ID of your form.

    Hmmm, what I see is
Added Shortcodes. They can be used like: [ninja_forms_display_form id=3].

I believe that we were using a short code. So, I'm guessing that the ability to use shortcode wasn't added as much as changed? We deleted the old shortcode off the page; so, I can't compare what we did before with what is new.

    The new shortcode works fine!

Yeah, the reason is says added is because in version 2.0 we neglected to include a shortcode but in version 2.0.1 we added it back in only with a different name.

Glad all is working well again for you.

Can you display the a form ( which I guess is a set of fields ) my the form name?

I tried the short code listed above but it didn't do anything?

The form preview works well, but I can't seem to get it inserted on a page.

    Thanks for your help!

I tried changing the id number to the title from the form settings:

    [ninja_forms_display_form id=mscontract]

I also tried just a number...

Yeah, the code requires the number ID for your form. So...

    [ninja_forms_display_form id=1]

    is how it should look.

You can find your form ID in the url when editing a form.
