   I'm trying to upgrade from 2.9.1 to 2.9.2 using the "Upgrade Automatically" button within Word Press but nothing happens.
   I have tried on Firefox 3.6, Chrome and IE8, same result on all of them: Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.9.2.zip. and then nothing...

   Sometimes it will go as far as "Unpacking" but nothing more.
   This happened in the past as well with a previous version but eventually managed to install after days of trying.

   Entering the URL by hand I get a blank page with a single message "Are you sure you want to upgrade?" (something similar, I don't have it under my nose now) but no Yes or No buttons.

   You can upgrade manually:

   Please also read the extended instructions. You DON'T want to overwrite your wp-config file - or very bad things will happen - I think that is the only file that must be kept - but I can't remember for sure so please double check - also note the part about making a backup before trying to update.
