@ stereosis: Then you must delete the plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/ directory withn content by an ftp program manually.

HI… I can delete these files But I;m afraid the two galleries that photographers uploaded photos will be deleted as well and their voting database.is it possible to restore these two existing galleries and database after the upgrade
I can send you the ftp details and wp admin details if you think that i will make a cock up by just deleting files and upgrade the plugin

You may always completely destroy the plugin ( i mean the directory wp-photo-album-plus and its content ) and re-install. Even running the action in Table VIII-A1: Setup is allowed.
YOU WILL NOT LOOSE ANY PHOTOS OR ALBUMS OR COMMENTS OR VOTES OR IPTC OR EXIF data, as long as you keep the directory wp-content/uploads/wppa/ untouched and stay off from the database tables wp_wppa_albums, wp_wppa_photos, wp_wppa_comments, wp_wppa_rating, wp_wppa_exif, wp_wppa_iptc. So, go ahead.
If you cant fix it, you may send me admin login data and i will have a look. Please try yourself before. If required, mail to opajaap at opajaap dot nl referring to this thread, because my memory is leaking a bit.

Hi – so sorry – I didn’t realize the update was available and I was busy last week. I did just update it though, and I deleted the wppa-theme.php file as directed, but no, it’s still not working over here. I do see there is a WordPress update – I’m a little wary of trying that lest it break something else, but I don’t know what else to do to make this plugin work again for me…
@jblue: You still have an outdated wppa-theme.php in your theme directory.
Add &debug to the addressline and you will see in RED:
[WPPA+ dbg msg: WARNING: customized wppa-theme.php is out of rev. Expected version: 4-9-10 found: 4-8-7]
It is in your theme direcory wp-content/themes-ai1ec or in wp-content/themes/nycha-grey/.
If you deleted it from wp-photo-album-plus/theme/ you deleted the wrong one, re-install the plugin…

oh!! goodness – I thought you meant the theme directory within the plugin. I deleted the wrong one. Fixed that – and now it’s working!! Thank you thank you.
Only issue now seems to be that the name of each photo is showing up 3 times in the thumbnail view on the album. What can I do to fix that?

Can not reproduce, cleanup the computer ( clear browser cache etc. )
Hi I’m having a similar problem. The images in the slideshow will not display. I am using the latest version which I just installed after deleting the previous version entirely. The site is located here:

The shortcode for that page is:

It’s also not showing on the homepage right side widget but is showing in the footer on the home page:

I think it is a theme thing, refreshing the page shows the slide, also next slide: refreshing shows it.
Try a different theme.
