@tiflon – You should be able to upgrade to the latest version by following the standard WordPress update process starting under Dashboard > Updates.

As to the second question, please upgrade first.

    Thanks!

WordPress system says that nothing needs to be updated. However, if you go to the section of plug-ins and find a plug with a gallery in the information it says that this version 1.9.12. Is there any way to force update it, or somehow else?

@tiflon – You can manually update the plugin by downloading the most recent stable version from WordPress (http://wordpress.org/plugins/nextgen-gallery/ … click on the Download button) … or you can try the latest public beta release found here: http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/nextgen-gallery-latest-beta/

Once downloaded, un-zip the file and use an FTP client to upload to your site and over-write all files and folders under /wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/

You may find this article I wrote on installing plugins useful as well: http://wpfirstaid.com/2009/12/plugin-installation/

    See if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Thanks I will try

Hello and Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I am trying to get Member Genius ver 2.0.7.6 to work with Next Gen Gallery ver 2.0.66.16 . I have contacted the Member Genius support already and they cannot help further and referred me to support for Next Gen Gallery for the code conflicts.

I am using the following: WordPress ver 3.9.1, Theme 2014 ver 1.1, NexGen Gallery ver 2.0.66.16, my SQL ver 5.5.37-35.1, PHP ver 5.3.28, Mod rewrite Apache mode is active, PHP safe is off, Current web Hosting is with Hostgator. My website is http://centralfloridayachtclub.com

I have updated all plugins to the most current versions.

I have an unknown conflict when activating my Member Genius, latest ver 2.0.7.6 . When activated none of my galleries are visible. (Error message – Invalid Displayed Gallery)

    I am stumped. Please help.

@woj – You should start your own topic, but it appears you already have the issue narrowed down as being this only happens when you use the Member Genius plugin.

I’m not sure what we can really offer in the way of help if the other plugin is breaking our functionality but as it is, please start your own topic (see http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Where_To_Post) so we can keep things separate from the OP issue and we will try to do what we can.

    Thanks!

@tiflon – It would have been much better to send us a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) before restoring your site so we could have had an opportunity to look into what might be happening.

We may still be able to help troubleshoot but we will need log in and FTP credentials for your WordPress installation to do so. Please include those with your Bug Report.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.
