I upgraded the theme and then switched to a new server. How do I get the upgrade onto my server?

I don't understand how to do what it says on that page. I paid for the upgrade when I was using wordpress to build my site. Now it is on my server (not wordpress) and I don't see where it will recognize that I paid for the upgrade...

What upgrade? Are you talking about a WordPress.COM site?

Yes. We originally built the site at siriousbaseball.wordpress.com and now we wanted to transfer it to siriousbaseball.com. But when we did it did not recognize that the theme was upgraded. We bought Titan upgrade.

Oh okay, gotcha. So what theme are you now using on your server? The only titan theme I see on this respository looks quite outdated:

Did you buy a more recent version someplace (not WordPress.COM)?

I just upgraded it through Word Press. This is their site http://thethemefoundry.com/wordpress/titan/

WordPress.ORG doesn't have anything to do with commercial themes - in the sense of upgrades, payments or support. So if it's a paid version outside of WordPress.COM, you'd need to contact them directly. But if you're just asking about installing the paid version from themefoundry, this should cover that: Download it to your local computer and then install via FTP:

    https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes#Adding_New_Themes_Manually_.28FTP.29

Sorry if I seem confused, but there are so many various complicated theme differences and issues between .COM, .ORG and commercial versions -- it IS confusing :)!

Thank you. I will try that but it might be over my head at this point.

It's actually not that hard -- just take it one step at a time. Do you have FTP access set up -- and who's your host?

I can do ftp. Host is lunarpages
I tried to point the website to the wordpress files and now I can't login or even get the login page...

Okay, let's backup. Had you installed WordPress and imported your site? Was it showing up on the site?

I installed word pres on our cpanel but I had not imported the word press site that we built on wordpress (make sense?) But I then read that if I pointed to website url to the word press site it would work. I think that I did that wrong or it was not the right information for what I was doing.

All I want to do now is get the site siriousbaseball.wordpress.com onto siriousbaseball.com so we can launch.

No problem -- no, you don't want to point it at WP.COM because you are using a new domain name. So you need to follow these:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Moving_to_a_New_Server

Did you already backup your files and database from the .COM site?

If you need to fix the URL settings, you can do that:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL

[One other option is to have the .COM people do all this for you - it's not free, but maybe worth it?]

    This may be helpful too:

(Unfortunately, it's getting late here so I'm going to have to signoff...but someone else can pick this up and help you get it up and running.)
