   Hi,

   I'm upgrading from 2.7 to 3.3 and the database upgrade seems to time out (I'm left with a page with just the wordpress logo).

   Is there a way to turn on logging so I can see what's happened?

   Is there a manual process to kick off the migration?

   The database is small/tiny but is on a separate host from the wordpress install. yeah.. I know.

   Never try to upgrade that many versions in a single step! You will need to carry out a series of smaller, manual, upgrades:
   2.7 -> 2.8 -> 2.9 -> 3.0 -> 3.2 -> 3.3.1
