Upgrade 2.1.3 to 2.2 –> upgrade.php fails

    I am trying to upgrade a wordpress installation to version 2.2. When trying to run the upgrade.php file a get an error message.

    Internal Server Error
    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator <removed email> and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    I do not have access to the server log! any suggestions on hwo to tackle this problem?
