I started up a new WP site yesterday, created a new page, which published just fine.......now when I go in to make text edits to the page, it saves, but does not publish when I hit the "publish" button as you would expect....the "published on" date is from mid-day yesterday, the 28th.
I've seen comments where people talk about plug-ins and permalinks......the first thing I did was set permalinks once the WP site was created and that worked without any problems. The plug-ins I have running are the same that I have on other sites and don't seem to be having any problems.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
The 2nd time you click on the button, it says Update instead of Publish.
If you see the changes you've made on the site, then it's working correctly. The publish date does not change when you update.

Yes, you are correct, it says Update, not Publish, my mistake......so I click Update, it says it's updated, but I can't see the changes, even from a different computer or browser.
Do the changes show up on the edit page? Are you using a caching plugin?

Ok, looks like I just figured it out.......a plugin that I've been using on other sites is not compatible with a new theme I'm trying out.
I deactivated all plugins, my edits starting showing up with a page refresh, so I went through and reactivated them all individually making simple edits as a test.....the last plugin reactivated was the culprit! Edits seem to be flowing through normally again.
