• I was receiving an error while trying to update to 3.9 and I read that one of the plugins may be causing the issue. I proceeded to deactivate and attempt to update but I received the same error. I went back to activate the plugins and now I’m getting this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_register_plugin_realpath() in /home/content/71/7370971/html/wp-admin/plugins.php on line 150

    What do I do?

Note: I am brand new to this site. I received responsibility for my company’s site from the previous assistant and I’ve already screwed it up. 🙂

    – try MANUALLY re-uploading all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first!
BTW, if you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong. It’s a great safety net.
